Halloween

The boys each chose a design for their pumpkins. Palmer and mom carved his "tri-boo" design. Miles and mom found the owl design on the internet and mom carved it. Preston wanted a happy face, so daddy carved the happy face for Preston.

Palmer decided to wear his costume from last year because he still liked it, so he was a ninja. Miles found a Lego Bionicle costume, but it was missing the mask. Luckily we had a mask that we bought years ago. Preston was going to be a horse. He was very excited about it. He then found the Spiderman costume in our costume box and changed his mind. Palmer had gotten this costume for his 4th birthday. It has been a much loved costume.
Here are the pumpkins all lit up.

Even though Rob had to work Halloween night he was able to get a few hours off to come with us around the neighborhood.

Preston really got into Halloween this year and loved the "rolly pops" (aka: lollipops).

Preston with his mask on....oh, I mean Spiderman.

After we were done trick-or-treating in our neighborhood and Rob had gone back to work we headed up the Grandma and Grandpa's house for warm pumpkin pie. The boys also went out with Grandpa to trick-or-treat at a few houses. Later Uncle Trace came by with his boys, Michael and Daniel.

Palmer's Video Book Report

The 4th graders at Palmer's school each had to do a video book report. This is our first attempt at anything like this. We had to borrow a camera from a friend of mine. Thanks Sue! It's not perfect, but I am happy with how it turned out. I think Palmer and I both learned a lot from this project.

Corn Maze

After much begging from the two older boys, we went through the corn maze while at the pumpkin patch.

Palmer took the lead.

We had a map with 10 locations to find. There was a mutiple choice question at each location. Each answer gave us another letter to complete the answer to a riddle.

In the middle of the corn maze there is a bridge/tower type thing where you can see out over the entire maze.

Picking A Pumpkin

A day at the Pumpkin Patch.
October 18th

We took the boys to our favorite pumpkin farm to choose their pumpkins.

This was the first year Preston really understood what we were doing.
He loved every minute of it!

Here is Miles looking for the perfect pumpkin.

Palmer is an expert pumpkin finder.

Preston loves to help Daddy.

A rare picture of me. I am usually the one with the camera.

After we chose our pumpkins we got to go on a hayride!

The boys on the hayride
Preston is the king of funny faces!
He wasn't too sure what to think of the hayride at first,
but after it got going he loved it.

Back to School

Palmer and Miles headed back to school in September. Palmer is now in 4th grade and Miles is in 2nd grade. Poor Preston misses his brothers when they go to school.
